Charmaine Gan

Qualification:
Grade 8 in Trinity Vocal.
Graduated from the Kuala Lumpur Children’s Concert Choir and is currently a student in the New Edge Youth Choir.
Grade 5 in ABRSM violin.

Experience:
She joined Young Choral Academy in the year 2009. I was put in to the Kuala Lumpur Children’s Concert Choir in year 2010. I went with the choir to China, Shaoxing for the World Choir Games. The choir got the certificate for Gold. In 2011, I went with the Kuala Lumpur Children’s concert choir to Australia, Brisbane for the Kodaly Symposium as guest choir. In the same year, we went to Singapore and performed in the SOTA concert hall for their music festival. In year 2013, I went with the choir to Europe for an exchange program. In year 2014, I was in an operetta, Mikado, and played the role as Pitti-sing. In the same year, I went with the Kuala Lumpur Children’s Concert Choir to Latvia, Riga for the World Choir Games and won silver. I also was an assistant teacher in the Malaysian Choral Eistefodd, children’s category. Since 2014 onwards, I am working as a trainee teacher teaching in Young Choral Academy.

Achievement:
2010-2011
Won 1st place in my school, SJK (c)Kepong 3, Mandarin Singing competition for 2 years and in 2011, won 2nd place.

2013
Won 2nd place for Voices in Bloom, English songs category.
Won 3rd place for Voices in Bloom, Mandarin songs category.
