Shally Wong

Shally Wong Shi Li was born in Perak, a girl who loves singing. The first time she stood on the stage to perform was in five years old. When she was eleven years old, she started to learn piano. Shally won the first prize in the singing competition in twelve years old. In 2015, she completed her Grade 8 Piano Exam under The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

In 2015, Shally started her diploma music course in Malaysian Institute of Arts after she has completed her secondary school. Her principal study was classical vocal under Ms. Yeoh Ker Ker from year 2015 to 2017. Started from 2018, she learnt under Mr. Mak Chi Hoe. Whereas classical piano was her second study which under Dr. Lok Lay Keng. As in college, that was the first time Shally be in touched with choir singing, then she was being craziness to love to sing in choir. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arts Ladies’ Choir under the conductor, Ms. Susanna Saw San San. Malaysian Institute of Arts Ladies’ Choir were participated many performances and competitions which included Debussy’s ethereal Nocturnes with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Federico Cortese in 2015. In 2017, the choir took part in Vietnam International Choir Competition Hoi An and has received a Golden Diploma Level IV. In the same year, the choir has been invited to perform in Hainan, China (21st Century Maritime Silk Road) Choir Festival. Apart from that, Shally was also representing Malaysia for joining the Incheon Asian Youth Choir 1st Island Art Project’s camp with Dr. Hakwon Yoon.

As a singer, Shally was also involved herself in some concerts and being one of the casts in Sing Out! 2015 and Sing Out! 2017. In her college life, she took part in some voice competitions, even though she did not win in the competitions, but she willing to give a try and gained experiences and never give up to love singing. After Shally completed her diploma music course, she started teaching choir under Young Choral Academy. In 2017, she taught in SJK(C) Kepong 3 as a choir teacher. In 2018, Shally is teaching at Eagles International School as a music teacher assistant.
