MCE Children Symposium

Greetings from the Young Choral Academy!

Dear Singers, Choral Conductors/Teachers and Friends,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for your continuous support in our 2015’s choral program. This will be another exciting and busy year of choral activities as part of our mission to provide a platform for the development of choral music/singing in Malaysia.

I am very excited to announce our annual event: The 13th Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod 2015 (Children’s Symposium) for singers and choirs from Malaysian primary schools.

This event addresses the need to encourage further development of choral activities within Malaysian schools (government and private) to a higher artistic level. Together with your participation and support from our panel of international tutors, juries, teachers and our administrative team, the Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (MCE) has now evolved to include a extensive series of national choral outreach program as well as an international choral competition and our annual symposiums.

This year’s 2015 MCE (Children’s Symposium) will take place at Sri KL School, Selangor. In the context of the choral program, it will include workshops, choir exchanges and performances by guest choirs, to encourage learning through participation. We are pleased to announce that Mark O’ Leary (Australia) will be our visiting Guest Conductor. Mr O’Leary’s work with young singers has been critically acclaimed internationally and I’m confident that it will be an unforgettable experience for all.

For registration, please find attached some useful information about the event and the application forms, which are to be completed and returned to us by Friday 1st May, 2015. I look forward to your favourable reply, in the meantime please feel free to get in touch with us for further enquiries or clarification.
