About the Course
This 10-day course caters for music specialists in secondary schools, classroom teachers, studio teachers and other interested people who wish to improve their music teaching skills. The classroom music course is designed as a three-year sequential program.
The curriculum includes:

Who is the tutor?
Mr. Daniel Crump
Daniel Crump is well-known as a music education specialist focusing on aural-based sequential and developmental music education grounded in the Kodály philosophy. He is currently Artistic Director of the Queensland Show Choir and Director of Music and Choral Music at Mount Alvernia College in Brisbane. Daniel holds a Master of Music Studies in Aural Pedagogy, Master of Educational Leadership, a Bachelor of Music majoring in Voice, a Bachelor of Education and the Australian Certificate in Kodály Music Education. Daniel has been the recipient of a National Award for Excellence in Music Education. He is a regular lecturer internationally in musicianship, choral conducting and classroom methodology and has held casual positions at The University of Queensland and the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Daniel has a sincere passion for both music education for all and the importance of choral singing in establishing a strong sense of community.

How much will it cost and what do I receive at the end of this level?
The cost for this 10 day course is RM3,710 (Early Bird RM 3,392 ). This fees covers:
- Tuition fees for 10 days
- Course handouts
- 1 tea breaks per day
- Level Certificate of Completion
- A lunch and sing through of songs learnt during the course, at the end of the 10 days.
Participants who complete all 3 levels will be given a Full Certificate of Completion issued by the National Council of the Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia.

Why only 30 spaces available for Secondary Level 2 ?
As with all other professional courses, we aim to keep the group small and intimate so that there will be a better and more personal interaction between the tutor and each participant.
Can I book a place first, and confirm and pay later?
We are sorry but the answer is no. As the numbers of places are very limited, we are going on first come first served basis, and confirmation of registration is only upon receipt of payment by online transfer.
How do I pay?
You can pay by cheque to “YOUNG CHORAL ACADEMY SDN. BHD.” Participants who wish to make payment transfer through online banking can do so to MAYBANK account number 5142 7144 0101. Then please fax or scan and email across the confirmation of payment receipt to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please submit payment together with the registration form.
I am not from Kuala Lumpur. Where can I stay?
The fees do NOT cover accommodation. Participants who require accommodation need to make their own bookings. Suggestions are as below:

What about meals?
The fees include 1 tea break per day as well as light refreshments. Participants have to pay and look for their own main meals during the course. YCA is surrounded by variety food outlets that catered such as – from mamak stalls, Chinese coffee shops, cafes and restaurants plus there is an organic vegetarian restaurant just around the corner!
